Spring and summer produce is here! Eating local New Jersey produce is one of the most delicious ways to enjoy the season. Local farmers from all over Central New Jersey set up weekly to sell their crops at some great local farmer’s markets. Spend some time perusing the offerings and plan an incredible dinner with your finds. Get out and about and meet other locals who are committed to fresh local shopping at these markets.
Asparagus, collards, peas, spinach, and strawberries are some of the succulent produce you’ll see making an appearance on the tables of local vendors this time of year. You’ll also see local canned goods, sweet bakery items, and handmade gifts at many of these markets. As May becomes June in a few days, you’ll start to notice an even greater variety of locally grown foods with something for everyone to enjoy.
